Shields, Chief of the Ocular Oncology Service at Wills Eye Hospital and Professor of Ophthalmology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr. Shields shares her remarkable journey of her transformation of a college basketball star to continuing medical school to treat pediatric cancer and educate families on detecting cancer in their children.
Join us as Dr. Shields discusses her personal experiences with pediatric cancer patients, the challenges faced with screening for retinoblastoma, and how families can detect if their child is at risk for retinoblastoma.
